Canada's Climate Change Calendar

Climate change is not a problem of the distant future - it is happening now. Canada’s Climate Change Calendar describes the impacts of climate change on more than 170 countries, and draws attention to the inspiring actions that communities are taking to fight climate change at home.

Canada is one of the largest emitters of greenhouse gas emissions in the world.  At 22.9 metric tons, Canada's annual level of per person emissions is more than 13 times higher than that of India.

Canada’s Climate Change Calendar shows by when during 2010 the average Canadian citizen will have produced as much greenhouse gases as a citizen from another country will produce during the whole year.
