Climate change impacts

It takes only 110 days for the average Canadian to produce as much greenhouse gases as the average Bolivian will produce over the course of the entire year.  Therefore, April 20th (110 days into the year) is "Climate Change Impacts in Bolivia Day."

As a result of climate change, Bolivia is facing five key impacts both now and in the future: retreating glaciers; natural disasters; disease spread; forest fires; and erratic weather.

For more information on these 5 impacts, see Oxfam International’s report, “Bolivia: Climate change, poverty and adaptation.”
