Climate change impacts

It takes only 37 days for the average Canadian to produce as much greenhouse gases as the average Dominican will produce over the course of the entire year.  Therefore, February 6th (37 days into the year) is "Climate Change Impacts in Dominica Day."

Over 90% Dominica’s population inhabits the coastal regions of the island making them considerably vulnerable to the effects of climate change. As temperatures rise so does the risk of flooding, hurricanes, and storms all of which will directly impact the coast regions and their inhabitants.
