Climate change impacts
It only takes 47 days for the average Canadian to produce as much greenhouse gases as the average Egyptian will produce over the course of the entire year. Therefore, February 16th (47 days into the year) is "Climate Change Impacts in Egypt Day."
While not a major contributor of green house gases Egypt is particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change. Some of the threats Egypt faces due to climate change include a rising sea level, changing precipitation patterns, and availability of potable water.
