Climate change impacts

It takes only 72 days for the average Canadian to produce as much greenhouse gases as the average Jamaican will produce over the course of the entire year.  Therefore, March 13th (72 days into the year) is "Climate Change Impacts in Jamaica Day."

Climate change in Jamaica has increased the severity of natural disasters due to it being a small coastal island. The increase in coastal water temperatures may also be affecting sea life such as coral reefs. Rises in coastal water levels could have devastating impact on industries that depend on coastal waters.
