Climate change impacts

It takes only 29 days for the average Canadian to produce as much greenhouse gases as the average Samoan will produce over the course of the entire year.  Therefore, January 29th (29 days into the year) is "Climate Change Impacts in Samoa Day."

Like other Pacific island nations, Samoa is vulnerable to climate change in the form of extreme rainfall accompanied by drought, coastal erosion and potential sea level rise. In addition Samoa’s biodiversity is threatened by climate change in the way of changing climate-sensitive habitats.
