St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Climate change impacts

It takes only 36 days for the average Canadian to produce as much greenhouse gases as the average St. Vincentian will produce over the course of the entire year.  Therefore, February 5th (36 days into the year) is "Climate Change Impacts in St. Vincent and the Grenadines Day."

Much like many other island nations, St. Vincent and the Grenadines is experiencing climate change through changing weather patterns including: increasing annual temperature; decreasing rainfall; rising sea level; and changing patterns in El Nino events.
